my guitars are done…

all the acoustics are done…we used several sweet olden guitars…60’s Silvertone Archtop (my very first guitar), 1975 Guild D-25 (my very second guitar) , 1970 Martin O-18 (thanks Mr. Ian Davidson), Santa Cruz OM (thanks again, Mr. Davidson)…we recorded the bunch with an old Neumann km84 into a Brent Averill 1084 into a vintage LA3A into a Purple MC77…needless to say, they all sound quite wooden and magical…like an early 70’s record…think Nick Drake…woodiness…yessss…lurvly…

bass is mostly done, just a few tracks left…again, full 70’s booty attack…with Andy Dondzila’s vintage Ampeg V4B head…

I’ve cut some electric too — Tele thru Vox AC30 (Dave Brown repro…) Anderson Crowdster Plus too…

it’s really sounding good you guys…perhaps more rawk than you are ready for? Aaron Clark last night was listening and said “it almost sounds metal…” after hearing Horse and Rider for the first time…I’m not sure it’s metal, but it does in-fact rock…

Crazy psychedelic loops coming next…

luv ya,

mc
